Letters From Pamela

My Brother's Love

Pamela Rittenhouse

August 2, 2016

It has been nearly a year since my last post of my Coming Back letters. This is the 7th in my series of letters to those who were there with me 21 years ago when I nearly lost my life as I fell from my bicycle. The life changing event occurred while on a long ride with my co-workers and friends at WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida. In this letter, my message is one of thanks. The recipient is my closest living relative.

Tom is my only sibling, and we are only 20 months apart. We are very different, but that has never stopped my brother from loving me and being there for me whenever I needed him. That was true in 1994 when I suffered terrible head injuries, and it is still true today.

A New Letter

This Coming Back story aired on my brother’s birthday in 1994. Twenty-one years later, I share the story in Letters from Pamela on Tom’s birthday in 2016. Watching it reminds me how important it is to appreciate family. Their love and support is the very best present!

Happy Birthday, Tommy.
